We are looking to recruit a Ward Clerk to support our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on one of our Acute Mental Health In‑patient Male Wards. The post‑holder will work as part of an integrated, skill‑mixed team, providing effective and efficient administrative support to the ward, mainly supporting the Ward Manager and ward staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Data inputting and collating data, information and reports.
  • Ordering equipment, food and general supplies.
  • Taking timely and accurate messages, sending e‑mails.
  • Scanning documents and keeping patient records up to date.
  • Tracking patient records and sorting the post and deliveries.

Full training will be provided for systems such as Carenotes (patient system), Loop, Tracking, etc.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Positive, flexible approach and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task, work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Computer literacy; familiarity with data entry and office software.
  • DBS check required.
