The Children's Speech & Language Therapy Team aims to provide a high quality service to children, young people and their families. We provide assessment, interventions, and advice to children and young people aged 0-19 with a Coventry GP. We also support children in Coventry special schools and specialist settings with an Education, Health & Care Plan. We have developed clinical pathways and a competency programme in Speech, Language, Voice, Stammering, Dysphagia, Deafness, Cleft Palate, Alternative & Augmentative Communication and young children 'At Risk' of SLCN.
We are committed to professional development and evidence based practice, offering regular in-service CPD days and peer group / one to one clinical supervision. Mentoring and management supervision are also provided as well as support from more experienced and specialist therapists. We will support you to achieve your RCSLT Newly Qualified Therapist competencies if required. Internal and external training courses are supported.
