Overview

We are seeking an experienced costing professional to kickstart our Trust-wide Costing Transformation programme, working with all Operational directorates and service areas, enabling service line and patient level costing data to facilitate a comprehensive plan to deliver improved outcomes and financially resilient services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the revitalisation of costing within the Trust, enthusing and working with operational professionals and clinical leads to support understanding and use of costing and Service Line Reporting (SLR) information to support decision making.
  • Lead the Trust through the national Deconstructing the Block exercise to understand and where possible mitigate the impact on the Trust's Patient Income and overall financial sustainability.
  • Upskill the Finance team and support the CFO in embedding a culture where the focus is on understanding the ongoing financial viability and relative cost efficiency of services rather than simply tracking variances to the budget plan.
