The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

This is an exciting opportunity to form part of a new non‑medical prescribing workforce within the children's ADHD clinic as part of a 2‑year ADHD transformation plan. The Nurse Prescriber will be responsible for medication and review of children and young people diagnosed with ADHD, as agreed and discussed with the ACP or Consultant Psychiatrist. A presentation will be required as part of the interview.

Main duties of the job:

  • Undertake direct specialist clinical work related to ADHD medication.
  • Work within the parameters as directed by the Specialist Mental Health Service and Neurodevelopmental Team.
  • Titration and medication review to CYP diagnosed with ADHD.
  • Development and oversight of non‑pharmacological interventions.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work as part of an MDT to support the care of children and young people open to the team.
  • Support diagnostic outcomes in the wider Neurodevelopmental Team.
  • Support the development of competencies for ADHD assessment and diagnosis.
  • Develop and deliver non-pharmacological interventions for ADHD.
  • Liaise with primary care as required for the arrangement of shared care agreements.
  • Supervise neurodevelopmental practitioners working in the pathway.
  • Undertake relevant CPD to maintain NMP status.
  • Work with the medicines management and pharmacy team.
  • Provide supervision, oversight and interpretation of the Qb Test.
  • Work across multiple clinical bases across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Person Specification Qualifications, Experience and skills:

  • Post Graduate – Masters or equivalent.
  • Non‑Medical prescriber.
  • Significant experience in MH services.
  • Experience of assessments and interventions.
  • Experience of multi‑agency working.
  • Able to manage a complex case load.
  • Able to communicate highly complex information.
  • Excellent organisation and planning, time management skills.
  • Accurate recorder of data/information.
