Band 4 Medical Secretary – 1 Year Fixed Term (Ending April 2027) 1 x Full Time Post Mon‑Fri 9‑5 Office based
Are you a compassionate team player with a passion for supporting clinical teams and delivering exceptional service? We are looking for a highly organised Medical Secretary to join our Community Mental Health Team based at Swanswell Point Coventry to provide vital administrative support to consultant psychiatrists, junior doctors, and healthcare staff.
We are a team committed to excellence, respect, and integrity. As a key first point of contact, you will help ensure smooth day‑to‑day work, manage clinics and correspondence, and coordinate a wide range of tasks.
Working collaboratively with the Senior Admin Lead and wider admin team, you’ll offer support to junior staff, uphold confidentiality, and support the consistent delivery of high‑quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Deliver a professional and confidential secretarial service to medical staff
- Manage diaries, clinic bookings, and patient follow‑up appointments
- Assist the Senior Admin Lead in coordinating work to support staff to ensure efficient workflow undertaking Supervisions and Appraisals
- Liaise with patients, service users, and stakeholders in a compassionate and respectful manner
- Support the coordination of medical rotas and meetings
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost integrity and discretion
