An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and motivated Band 7 CBT Therapist to join our Coventry Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team.
Role Summary
As a key member of our multi‐disciplinary team, you will deliver high‐quality CBT and CBTp to people aged 14‐65 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis or an At‐Risk Mental State (ARMS). EIP offers evidence‐based early assessment and treatment for up to three years, with a strong emphasis on working collaboratively with families and carers. You will provide evidence‐based assessment, formulation and intervention, supporting individuals with unusual experiences and beliefs, trauma, co‐morbidities and the social challenges associated with psychosis. Instilling hope and promoting recovery is central to what we do.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist CBT and CBT for Psychosis interventions to service users within the EIP pathway.
- Provide psychological assessment, formulation and evidence‐based treatment.
- Offer consultation and joint working to MDT colleagues.
- Work autonomously within professional and service guidelines.
- Maintain high‐quality clinical records in line with Trust policies.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, psychiatrists, OTs, psychologists, social workers and support workers.
- Contribute psychological perspectives to MDT reviews, care plans and risk assessments.
- Support the development and delivery of ARMS pathways within the service.
- Participate in clinical audits, service evaluation and quality improvement activity.
- Contribute to psychological thinking within the team and wider service.
Professional Development and Support
- Regular supervision from a Senior Clinical Psychologist.
- Opportunities to provide supervision and training to colleagues.
- Involvement in service development, research and audit activity.
- Maintain accreditation through CPD, supervision and ethical practice.
- Uphold recovery‐focused and culturally sensitive approaches.
Other Requirements
- Travel across Warwickshire and Coventry during the working day.

- Experience applying CBT models to anxiety and mood disorders, including complex presentations and trauma.
- Experience working within multi‐disciplinary teams.
- Experience in an Early Intervention in Psychosis service.
- Experience in service development or improvement activity.
- Strong knowledge of CBT and CBT for Psychosis models and interventions.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a clinical caseload.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‐solving skills.
- Ability to contribute psychological perspectives to MDT working.
- Understanding of safeguarding, risk and professional accountability.
- Knowledge of ARMS frameworks and evidence‐based interventions.
- Awareness of relevant NICE guidelines and EIP standards.
