The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

The post holder will work with a dedicated mental health liaison team based at George Eliot Hospital (GEH). The service accepts referrals of patients of all ages over 17. Although the Consultant will be based in Coventry, there will be an expectation that the consultant will work flexibly across acute sites.

Objectives of the service are to provide effective liaison between service providers in Mental Health Trust and the Acute Hospital Trusts. The team will provide effective liaison between the Mental Health services and emergency departments, acute inpatient wards and elderly care wards and provide medical leadership and clinical supervision for the Liaison Team.

Services are provided to a population of over one million people living in Coventry and Warwickshire and also a wider geographical area in some of our specialist services.

At Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT), we provide all-age mental health services for a population of around one million in Coventry and Warwickshire. We also provide learning disability and autism, and community paediatric services. CWPT is a teaching Trust and has been involved in the development of Warwick University Medical School since it began. We provide placements for medical students, and medics from CWPT contribute to the academic programme. We are proud of our involvement in postgraduate medical education. We have trainees on rotation at all levels, including speciality trainees from the West Midlands School of Psychiatry, trainees from the West Midlands GP training scheme and Foundation trainees.
