Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to be part of our Autism Intensive Support Team for Coventry and Warwickshire.
If you are driven, passionate and to want to work with Autistic adults who are in mental health crisis and are at risk of admission to hospital, then we want to hear from you.
The team is a specialist, multi-disciplinary team currently consisting of Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nursing and Therapy Assistants and Assistant Psychologists.
Main Duties Of The Job
- Leading on service developments
- Clinical assessments
- Communication plans
- Specialist speech interventions
- Reviewing targets
- Risk assessments
- Autism informed interventions to reduce the risk of an admission due to mental health crisis
- Trauma informed practice
- Creating autism profiles as part of a MDT
- Providing individualised training to families and care providers
