The predicted salary is between 31049 - 37796 £ per year.

Please note: pending new pay rates of £31,049 – £37,796 for the agenda for change agreement 25-26.

To work as part of an in-house maintenance shift team to provide a planned and reactive maintenance service. Responsible for delivering a Trust-wide service according to the duties below.

Perform unsupervised work, including demanding and non-routine activities.

Test and fault find on all engineering plant and equipment throughout the hospital, out of hours, and unsupervised.

Act as \’Competent & Appointed Person\’ for the Trust in the safe operation and maintenance of boilers and other plant and systems.

Work independently to undertake maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.

Carry Trust communication devices (pager, two-way radios, mobile phone) at all times for immediate response to emergencies.

Provide a first line of response to maintain clinical services, undertake \’first-time fix\’, or initiate temporary measures to prevent disruption of clinical capacity where possible.

Respond to urgent situations such as lift entrapments and fire alarm calls.

Issue permits to work to directly employed staff and contractors.

Supervise contractors on site out of normal working hours.
