Job Title: Compliance Administrator (Part-time) – Barristers’ Chambers

Our client, a key set of Barristers’ Chambers, is looking for a new Compliance Administrator to join their administration team on a part time basis. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the chambers adheres to robust compliance processes and ensuring all regulatory ethical and procedural frameworks are maintained.
Duties will include:
- Regular reviews of compliance protocols, ensuring adherence to GDPR requirements, updating policies to align with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Managing health and safety compliance, overseeing fire and security compliance, as well as conducting equality and diversity reviews.
- Reporting directly to the CEO regarding BSB regulations and ICO standards.
- Act as the first point of contact for all insurance related tasks, keeping policies updated and providing adequate coverage
- Ensuring CPD sessions are following compliance regulations, and that all staff and members are covered accordingly.
- Having all reports for compliance audits and reviews prepared, supporting with AGM preparation with compliance documentation.
- Manage compliance for the reception operations, and ad hoc duties maintained and completed as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Relevant certification/degree in law/business or equivalent
- Proven experience in a compliance role or a related field and knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, Bar Standards Board (BSB) and ICO.
- Familiarity with the operations of a barristers’ chambers or similar regulated environments is a significant advantage
- Strong attention to detail and organisation, working to deadline as needed
- Excellent communication and ability to handle confidential matters, proficiency in policy development and regulatory updates
- Experience in a chambers setting is highly desirable
