Position: Registered Nurse, Float Pool

Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 for Experienced RNs

Employment Type: Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift

May be required to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as per Nurse Manager\’s discretion. Floating to other departments may be required.

Position Summary

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

1. Assess patient and family needs, support systems, and medical history.
2. Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
3. Provide expert clinical care, resolving complex patient and management issues independently.
4. Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives.
5. Precept new employees and students, and contribute to orientation programs.
6. Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, and other staff.
7. Adhere to policies, safety standards, and participate in quality improvement.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional nursing experience; 2 years in med/surg preferred.
• Must hold and maintain Tennessee RN license and CPR certification.
• Education must meet licensing standards.
