The Risk team works in partnership across Cova to support informed decision-making and positive outcomes. What you can expect in this role:

• Providing Line 2 oversight and challenge across enterprise risks, including operational, financial crime, insurance, legislative, and regulatory risks (excluding technology and cyber).
• Working closely with business leaders to support risk-informed decision making.
• Delivering clear, authoritative, and outcome-focused risk opinions into relevant governance and decision-making forums, acting as a trusted advisor on risk strategy and appropriate responses.
• Leading initiatives to strengthen risk culture and capability as part of a wider business transformation programme.

What you might bring:

• Experience in enterprise risk within Financial Services (General Insurance would be a bonus) or a strong interest in building your expertise in this space.
• Skills in Risk, with the ability to break down complex issues and explain them clearly.
• Experience leading and influencing at senior level, with a focus on coaching and setting expectations for high-quality technical judgement.
• An organised, thoughtful way of working.
• A focus on making a real impact using risk insight to support better decisions and deliver positive outcomes for customers and colleagues.
