Smokey's Restaurant Sous Chef - Full time & live in available Key Responsibilities: Role model the company values and behaviours at all times: Hospitality, Passion, Trustworthiness, Excellence, Stewardship, Kindness Reporting into the Head Chef, you will have experience of working in a high-volume, fast-paced business In the absence of the Head Chef, you will take on the responsibility of running the kitchen Work with the Head Chef and all team members to ensure smooth running of work area Carry out checks for allergies and advises on suitable products Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness for safe food preparation Provide a safe and secure environment by adhering to the company Health & Safety and food safety policies ensuring all areas are compliant with audit requirements Delivery of exceptional food standards as outlined in the menu specifications Preparing ingredients, cooking meals and plating dishes as required throughout your shift according to guests’ requirements Assisting the Head Chef in keeping the kitchen, stores and ancillary departments running smoothly during service Experience/Skills Required: We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef who has previously worked in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and organised Have a passion for cooking to a high consistent standard Have the ability to provide excellent customer service We are looking for someone who is a team player, has a "can do" attitude, but most importantly, is passionate about hospitality
