Cove School is seeking a SchoolCaretaker to join our site team. We currently have a Site Manager and twoschool caretakers. Working under the direction of the Site Manager and workingclosely with the wider school community, you will oversee day to day siteoperations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the site remains a clean,safe and fully functioning environment. This is a varied role combiningphysical work and health & safety compliance.
KeyResponsibilities will include:
- General maintenance carrying outessential repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting anddecorating
- Site security, open and close theschool daily, manage alarms and perform key holding duties
- Grounds upkeep, keeping the schoolgrounds tidy, manage waste disposal and complete seasonal tasks such asgritting during winter
Thesuccessful candidate will:
- Have experiencein caretaking, site management or trade
- Be reliableand dependable
- Able to workcollaboratively with internal staff and external contractors
- Actively safeguard and promote thewelfare of all children
- Adhere to all school policies andprocedures and safeguarding requirements
