We are seeking a pro-active and approachable individual to join our Inclusion team as an Assistant Behaviour Manager. We have a small number of pupils who require additional behavioural support, mentoring and clear, consistent sanctions to help them regulate their emotions and attitudes, enabling them to engage positively with their learning. In this role, you will work closely with the Inclusion Manager and senior leaders to support behaviour, inclusion and pastoral systems across the school. You will have access to dedicated facilities, and work alongside a range of internal specialist teams including attendance, pastoral leads, mental health and counselling services.

As Assistant Behaviour Manager, you will play a key role in helping to create and sustain an inclusive, calm and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and parents. You will support the day-to-day implementation of inclusion strategies, behaviour systems and interventions, ensuring consistency and high standards across the school. Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of inclusive education policies and practices in line with the school's values of Care, Character and Academic Excellence.
  • Work closely with the Inclusion Manager and senior staff to ensure consistent behaviour expectations, routines and responses across the school.
  • Provide direct behavioural support, mentoring and intervention for identified pupils.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support inclusive classroom practice and positive learning environments.
  • Support communication and engagement with parents to promote inclusion, positive behaviour and pupil progress.
  • Assist in delivering staff support or CPD where required, particularly around behaviour management, routines and inclusion.
  • Liaise with external agencies and specialists to support pupils with additional needs.
  • Support the coordination and daily operation of behaviour systems, including the Reset Room, Centralised Detentions, Lesson On-Call, Personalised Support Plans (PSPs), behaviour interventions and mentoring programmes.
  • Contribute to data monitoring and reporting related to behaviour, attendance and inclusion, as directed by the Inclusion Manager.
Qualifications
  • Ideally educated to degree level in an education-related or relevant field.
  • A strong commitment to fairness, consistency and positive relationships with children.
  • Previous experience working with pupils requiring behavioural or pastoral support.
  • A good understanding of inclusion, behaviour management and safeguarding practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow systems and procedures accurately.
  • High levels of patience, resilience and a good sense of humour.
