Working pattern: 4 days per week initially
Contract: 6-month paid internship
Salary: London living wage
About the Role We are looking for a creative, proactive and organised Social Media & Content Intern to join our team at Couverture & The Garbstore, two independent fashion and lifestyle stores in Notting Hill.
Working across both brands, you'll support the day-to-day running of our Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest channels, with a focus on content creation, scheduling and caption writing.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with a strong visual eye, an interest in fashion and design, and the confidence to take initiative. You'll be encouraged to contribute ideas while developing your skills in social media and creative production.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, shoot and edit iPhone-led content, including short-form videos, product photography and Instagram Stories.
- Proactively capture new deliveries, staff styling and everyday moments in-store.
- Prepare and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest, following the agreed content calendar.
- Research and write captions that reflect the distinct tone of voice of each brand, working with buyers and shop staff to gather product information.
- Contribute creative ideas and research emerging social media trends and formats.
- Edit photography and video using Adobe Creative Cloud, including supporting paid advertising assets when required.
- Prepare regular Instagram Stories, including content for weekend publication.
- Support community management, including responding to comments and resharing tagged content, while directing customer and stockist enquiries to the relevant teams.
- Maintain an organised library of creative assets and ensure content is prepared ahead of publication.
About You
- A genuine interest in fashion, design and contemporary culture, particularly independent brands.
- A strong visual eye, with excellent attention to detail and an understanding of composition and aesthetics.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Illustrator.
- Confidence shooting and editing short-form video and photography, particularly using an iPhone.
- A good understanding of Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different brand voices.
- Organised, proactive and comfortable working independently while collaborating with different teams.
- A willingness to learn, contribute ideas and respond constructively to feedback.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a short practical creative assessment as part of the interview process.
