Join us as a Financial Planning Specialist - Adviser in Private Banking. This is a client-focused financial planning role within one of the UK's leading private banks, providing specialist, regulated financial planning advice to private banking clients in the ultra high net worth (UHNW) segments for International and Family Office clients. The role involves significant client interaction, with some remote work and substantial time spent in the office or meeting clients in the UK or offshore.
Responsibilities
- Deliver regulated financial planning products to help achieve sustainable growth and profitability targets.
- Build effective relationships with private banking stakeholders to promote core products and services.
- Develop and deliver training to coverage teams and other key stakeholders.
- Provide guidance to coverage teams on regulated financial planning products, particularly with larger and more complex clients.
- Provide end-to-end transaction support balancing client needs with commercial and stakeholder requirements.
What you’ll do
In this client-focused role, you’ll ensure that our clients’ financial needs are met and they receive outstanding service as you provide thorough and comprehensive advice on our regulated private banking products and services. You’ll be valued for your expertise, using it to upskill advisers and maximise the effectiveness of our regulated private banking client proposition.
The skills you’ll need
- Strong proven knowledge, understanding and experience of regulated financial planning advice, particularly for UHNW clients in our International and Family Office segments.
- Relationship building with clients and stakeholders is key, as is excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience working with both internal and external client introducers.
- Excellent technical knowledge on financial planning products including pensions, trusts and protection.
- Minimum of Level 4 qualification, with a strong preference for Level 6 (Cii or CISI).
- Competent Adviser Status (CAS) in your current role with experience providing complex regulated financial advice to UHNW clients.
- Strong commercial acumen and desire to succeed.
- Understanding of financial markets, including drivers of price volatility, investment products and collateral analysis.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to simplify complex information and client positions while ensuring effective management and communication.
- Experience of relevant policies, regulatory obligations and risk management of regulated financial planning products.
