We are looking for Children’s Residential Support Workers who care about making every moment matter for the children and young people, regardless of qualifications or experience. Support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower young people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone's individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.
Location: Birmingham
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shifts: Nights, weekends

About You
Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting children in a way which enables their development and respects their dignity? Experience of challenging behaviour and/or learning disabilities is preferred but all training will be provided.
The Role
To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the children and young people to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans. Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs and ensure they are met in an inclusive way. Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice. General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as, possibly, elements of personal care. As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
