About The Role

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos, the Team Leader will support the service manager by leading the day-to-day management of a shift. You will work in a pro-active, responsive, effective and person-centred way to ensure that the lives of the people you and the team are supporting are enriched, to be the best they are able. The team provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone's individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.

Location and Hours

  • Location: Salford, Manchester
  • Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

The Role:

  • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower their team in supporting the children to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • You will be proactive and support the development and skills of Support Workers. This will include recruitment, induction, supervisions, annual appraisals, training, coaching, rota management, sickness and absence management.
  • Take the lead to help Support Workers understand their responsibilities and by doing so ensure that safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led support and care is delivered at all times.
  • Ensure that all the people we support have person-centred support/care plans. You will be able to create and update these plans as per any changes that are required.
  • To oversee and support the development of excellent quality within the service. You will design, develop and maintain excellent service user records, working in a supportive manner that empowers the service user to live their life in their chosen manner.

About The Service

Number Four is a 4-bedroom home in Salford for young people with mental health needs. The home works closely with a psychologist, who supports the team to be able to offer a therapeutic environment for young people to enable them to express and manage their emotions and learn new coping skills which they can take with them to use in later life.
