We are looking for Children's Support Workers/Carers (Bank) to join our team in Little Addington (NN14) who have a passion for providing a high standard of support that enables young people to learn and develop through education and positive life experiences.

Position: Support Worker (Bank)

Location: Little Addington, Kettering

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Shifts: Days, evenings, weekends

Support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live. Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Role:

  • To provide support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
  • Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, supported employment, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
  • Complete a range of records and documents.

About The Service:

Our five-bed residential home for children, aged 5 – 17 years, is registered with OFSTED and offers services to young people who have learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex needs. We are situated in the quiet residential area of Little Addington, close to local resources and facilities. The service offers each child their own bedroom and a range of communal living spaces including a large garden room which provides recreational facilities for them to create their own activities. This area is designed to encourage creative and sometimes messy projects. We also have an amazing sensory/calming room with lights, sounds and textures which are used together to create a stimulating, or calming environment.
