I am recruiting a Business Development Manager to support the growth of my clients industrial and commercial HVAC product range across the UK. This role is suited to either an experienced technical sales professional within HVAC/M&E or a graduate / early-career engineer looking to develop a long-term career in technical sales.
The focus of the role is to generate and develop sales opportunities with industrial end users, M&E contractors, M&E consultants, and heating contractors, selling technically led, solution-based HVAC products.
You’ll initially be based at Head Office for structured training and support before progressing into a customer-facing role, combining telesales, relationship development, and face-to-face meetings. UK travel will form part of the role, including occasional overnight stays.
You’ll be selling a range of industrial and commercial temperature and humidity control solutions, including:
- Electric heaters
- Low-energy indirect adiabatic coolers
- Air curtains
- Destratification fans
- Humidifiers and dehumidifiers
Typical applications include manufacturing, warehousing, storage, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify sales leads through telesales and enquiries
- Build relationships with end users, consultants, and M&E contractors
- Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities
- Promote technically sound, value-led HVAC solutions
- Attend customer meetings and site visits
This role is open to candidates at different career stages. You may be:
- An experienced Technical Sales / HVAC professional, with:
- Background in HVAC, M&E, BMS, building services, or industrial equipment
- Possess a consultative, relationship-led sales approach
- A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, HVAC, Energy, or similar
- Strong technical curiosity and commercial interest
- Confidence communicating with customers and learning on the job
For both profiles, you’ll be:
- Self-motivated and organised
- Comfortable picking up the phone and meeting clients
- Interested in combining technical knowledge with sales
- Based within easy access of Head Office in the Surrey / South London area
