My client is looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to cover a well-established and profitable region, spanning the Midlands, South Wales, and parts of the South West. You will be selling high-quality, bespoke timber staircases, manufactured to order in a variety of finishes including oak, stained, and painted.
The role is focused on developing relationships with small to medium-sized housebuilders, typically working on lower-volume, high-quality residential projects. You will be involved in the full sales process, including site visits, measuring, configuring, and closing business, with full training provided on the technical aspects. In addition, you will work closely with merchants to generate demand, ensuring contractors and builders are directed towards my client's offering.
This is a strong, established territory offering a genuine opportunity to build on existing relationships while driving new business.
The Company
My client is a well-established manufacturer of bespoke timber staircases, supplying into the housebuilding sector across the UK. They have built a strong reputation within the industry, working with a wide range of regional developers. The business has also received multiple industry awards in recent years, recognising both product quality and innovation. They continue to invest in their people, product, and manufacturing capabilities.
The Person
My client is looking for a driven and commercially aware sales professional with experience selling into the housebuilding sector. Ideally, you will have experience within staircases or a related product area; however, this is not essential. Candidates with a background in heavy side materials or those coming from a merchant environment will also be considered. You must have experience dealing with regional housebuilders and understand the importance of service, relationships, and added value over purely price-driven selling. A strong work ethic and the right attitude are essential.
