The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established UK manufacturer within the waterproofing and building materials sector, currently experiencing strong growth and investment. As part of this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Technical Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a high-value territory across London and the South East. This is a newly created role, offering the chance to make a genuine impact within a business that already performs well with SME contractors but is now targeting larger main contractors.
The Role
- Selling a technical range of waterproofing solutions, including membranes, cementitious tanking and below-ground joint sealing
- Managing and developing relationships with Main Contractors and specialist sub-contractors
- Targeting national and regional contractors such as Tier 1 and Tier 2 businesses
- Driving specification, influencing designs and breaking/flipping specifications
- Managing existing accounts while proactively identifying and winning new business
- Territory turnover currently £3m–£5m, with significant scope for growth
- Strong focus on projects in London
About You
- Proven experience selling to Main Contractors within construction
- Strong network and ability to open doors with larger contractor accounts
- Background in waterproofing is beneficial but not essential
- Experience from technical construction product sectors such as concrete, insulation, structural repair or similar is welcomed
- Commercially driven, credible and confident dealing with senior stakeholders
- Technically minded with the ability to influence at specification level (Full training and technical support provided where required.)
Package
- Bonus: £10,000 (rising to £15,000 based on KPIs)
