A leading UK manufacturer within the fitted kitchen and bedroom furniture sector is seeking a motivated and ambitious Trainee Account Manager to join its successful new-build housing division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with kitchen industry experience who is looking to move into a field-based sales role, or an individual already involved in supplying products to the housebuilding sector who is keen to develop their career with a market-leading manufacturer.

Working alongside an experienced team of Account Managers, you will receive comprehensive training and support while learning the commercial and technical aspects of managing key customer accounts within the new-build residential market.

The Role

The successful candidate will support a team responsible for supplying kitchen furniture to national and regional housebuilders across the North West and North Wales region. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Account Managers with live projects and customer accounts
  • Assisting with kitchen designs, product samples and site visits
  • Liaising with developers, contractors and installation teams
  • Providing administrative and project support throughout the sales process
  • Attending customer meetings and project reviews
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders within housebuilding organisations
  • Progressively taking ownership of customer accounts following the initial training period

This is a field-based position involving regular travel throughout the region, with a combination of customer visits, home working and occasional overnight stays for meetings and training.

About You

  • Experience within the kitchen industry, either in design, retail, showroom sales or manufacturing
  • Experience selling to, or working alongside, housebuilders (advantageous)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities

  • A desire to develop a long-term career in field sales and account management
