We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an ambitious and driven Area Sales Manager to join a leading supplier within the mechanical services, heating, plumbing, and air movement industries. This role involves selling a full range of products, including valves, steel & copper tubes, fittings, plastic systems, pipework products, tools, consumables, ventilation products, and water heating solutions — both own-brand and from premium manufacturers such as Pegler, Polypipe, Albion, Uponor, Viega, Harmer, RWC and many more.
Covering Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and South London, you will be managing an existing portfolio of 65-70 accounts, selling into M&E contractors at both site and regional office level. The area currently turns over £6 million, and this vacancy has arisen due to retirement. You will be engaging with procurement directors to maintain and develop strong relationships while driving new business opportunities.

The Person & Experience Required
Minimum 2 years’ experience working for a commercial merchant or distributor in an on-the-road (OTR) sales role. Must be highly motivated, a go-getter, and able to manage a large portfolio.
