Role

Are you a driven, hungry and commercially minded sales professional who loves being out in the field, winning new business and asking for the order? I’m working with a major, highly respected supplier to the construction industry who is looking to appoint an experienced External Sales professional. This is a genuine hunter role, with around 90% of your time focused on subcontractors. You’ll be out on site, building relationships, identifying opportunities and winning new business.

You’ll be selling a full range of construction products, including:

  • Roof, wall, structural & floor insulation
  • Plasterboard
  • Ceilings
  • Partitions
  • Cladding

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven external / field sales experience
  • A track record of selling to subcontractors
  • Strong new business development and prospecting skills
  • Someone who enjoys calling on site and creating opportunities
  • Commercially confident and willing to ask for the order
  • High energy, drive, resilience and genuine hunter mentality

Experience within insulation, plasterboard, ceilings, partitions, cladding or wider construction products would be a major advantage – but direct experience selling to subcontractors is more important. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind an existing account base. My client is looking for someone who loves the hustle, enjoys winning and wants to build a territory through their own efforts.
