Role

Are you an experienced construction sales professional who knows how to win projects, influence key decision-makers and build relationships across the supply chain? We’re working with an established and growing business supplying eco-friendly and sustainable building products into major construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK. This is a genuine project-led Area Sales Manager role where you’ll be working with some of the biggest names in the industry.

What you’ll be doing

  • Targeting Tier 1 contractors including Kier, Balfour Beatty and Costain.
  • Building strong relationships with civil engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Using Barbour ABI to identify new projects and get involved early.
  • Developing opportunities from initial project identification through to sale.
  • Working with subcontractors and groundworkers to convert projects into orders.
  • Managing and growing a strong project pipeline across your area.
  • Working with merchants and specialist distributors although this is a smaller part of the role.
  • Taking ownership of your area, developing existing accounts and winning new business.

What we’re looking for

  • Experienced in construction, civils, infrastructure or building products
  • Comfortable selling into Tier 1 contractors and civil engineering businesses
  • Experienced in project-led sales rather than purely transactional selling
  • Confident influencing multiple stakeholders across a project
  • Commercially driven, proactive and hungry to win
  • Strong at building long-term relationships
  • Familiar with project intelligence tools such as Barbour ABI – advantageous but not essential

Why this role?

You’ll be joining a business with a strong proposition around sustainability and eco-friendly construction, giving you the opportunity to sell products that contribute to more sustainable construction and infrastructure. You will be stepping into an established sales environment with a strong project pipeline. If you’re an ambitious Area Sales Manager with a background in construction or infrastructure and want a role where you can genuinely influence projects and grow your territory, we’d love to hear from you.
