We are working with a leading manufacturer within the glazing and building envelope sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Specification Sales Manager. This is a key role focused on demand creation and project specification, engaging with major architectural practices and Tier 1 main contractors across the West Midlands / Bristol of England.
This position is all about future-proofing sales through specification influence. You’ll take ownership of your region, targeting key influencers such as architects, specifiers, and design departments within major contractors including Morgan Sindall, Mace, Laing O’Rourke and Willmott Dixon.
You’ll manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring full stakeholder engagement across the buying chain. A strong technical understanding of glazing systems and commercial building design will be essential to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project specifications and secure product placement through demand creation.
- Deliver engaging CPDs and technical presentations to architectural practices.
- Build and maintain relationships with key influencers and contractors.
- Manage the full project sales cycle from design through to installation.
- Maintain accurate records of projects and activity using CRM systems.
- Conduct site visits and surveys as required.
- Promote the full product portfolio within the commercial glazing market.
The Person
- Proven track record in specification sales to architects and large contractors.
- Strong technical background within glazing, facades, roofing, or building envelope products.
- Experience managing long-term specification projects from design to completion.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Confident using CRM systems and reading construction drawings.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional overnight travel.
