The Company

Our client is a well-established international manufacturer with an excellent reputation for supplying premium-quality professional tools and workshop equipment. Their product portfolio is trusted across the automotive, industrial, construction and maintenance sectors, with products distributed through a network of specialist distributors, merchants and trade partners throughout the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint two Business Development Managers to strengthen their UK sales team.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing sales across your designated territory, managing both existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities. The role involves selling a comprehensive range of professional tools and equipment including:

  • Hand tools
  • Tool storage solutions
  • Sockets, bits and drivers
  • Pneumatic (air) tools
  • Measuring equipment
  • Complete tool systems

Your customer base will include:

  • Specialist tool distributors
  • National and independent merchants
  • Buying groups
  • Industrial end users

Approximately 30% of your time will be spent developing relationships with end users to help drive demand through the distribution network.

The Person

We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who have experience working with, or selling into, specialist tool distributors and already possess strong industry contacts. Applications are also welcomed from individuals with experience selling professional tools through merchants or industrial distribution channels. You will be:

  • A proven field sales professional
  • Commercially driven with strong business development skills
  • Comfortable managing an established territory while generating new business
  • Able to build long-term relationships with distributors and end users alike
