The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing relationships across plumbing and heating merchants, which will account for approximately 60% of the role. This includes working with major national and independent merchants such as City Plumbing, Wolseley, Graham, Plumb City, HPS, PTS and PHG members. You will also work closely with key distributors including F&P and APP to maximise sales opportunities and support growth.
The remaining 40% of the role will focus on installer engagement, creating demand through relationship building, product support and increasing brand sales across the region. The territory is an established and high‑performing area. While the region remains strong, there is excellent opportunity to further develop performance and exceed current targets.
The client is open to a range of backgrounds for this appointment, provided the individual has the right industry knowledge and commercial mindset. Ideally, candidates will have experience within a manufacturer environment; however, strong consideration will also be given to experienced branch managers, merchant sales professionals, or field engineers looking to transition into a sales‑focused role.
A strong understanding of the plumbing and heating sector is essential, along with the ability to build relationships and influence at both merchant and installer level. The business is looking for someone commercially driven, adaptable, and able to operate effectively within a well‑established but competitive territory.
