They consistently deliver cutting-edge, industry-led work for clients across various sectors, establishing a market-leading reputation in private equity, asset management, corporate M&A, and global dispute resolution and investigations.
\\n
\\nThe firm serves a diverse client base, including public and private companies, financial institutions, private equity firms, and businesses engaged in large and complex UK and cross-border matters, transactions, and disputes. They pride themselves on providing not only top-level expertise but also business-oriented collaboration through commercially driven advice.
\\n
\\nIn response to a recent firm-wide strategic review, the firm is looking to appoint a partner or team to lead a new tax investigations practice. There is an increasing demand from clients as tax authorities become more aggressive in pursuing taxpayers and challenging their tax affairs. This can lead to significant reputational issues and direct financial costs, making it essential for taxpayers to be aware of the potential impacts of tax inquiries or investigations.

\\n- Assisting European-based companies facing multiple seizures of goods related to Excise Duty disputes.
\\n- Handling payroll disputes with HMRC.
\\n- Advising on proceedings under the Insolvency Act 1986 and the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986, including CIS and GPS disputes with HMRC.

\\n- Advising high-net-worth individuals on tax declarations and negotiating time-to-pay agreements with HMRC.
\\n- Assisting clients with applications under the Alcohol Wholesale Registration Scheme (AWRS) and the Warehouse Keepers and Owners of Warehoused Goods Regulations (WOWGR).
\\n- Advising clients facing allegations of marketing tax avoidance schemes.
\\n- Representing high-net-worth individuals and both international and domestic corporations in HM Revenue & Customs tax assessment appeals to the Tax Tribunal, High Court, and Court of Appeal.
