The Work
The team provides full transactional support and standalone tax advice to a wide variety of UK and international clients. Work includes:
- Advising on tax structuring for acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations.
- Drafting and negotiating tax deeds and warranties.
- Stamp duty, VAT, international tax and tax‑dispute guidance.
- Venture capital tax advice, including S/EIS eligibility and share incentive schemes.
- Preparing HMRC applications and investor certificates.
- Providing pragmatic, commercial tax solutions tailored to each client’s objectives.
- Working closely with clients and their advisers to deliver seamless, efficient support.
The team handles the full spectrum of corporate tax issues in‑house, enabling fast, high‑quality advice without reliance on external consultants.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality fee‑earning work and contribute to team profitability.
- Support the development of the team and wider practice.
- Maintain exceptional professional standards and ethics.
- Act as an ambassador for the practice in all client interactions.
- Manage day‑to‑day casework, document review and client communication.
- Assist with business development, marketing materials and client lists.
- Support the establishment of share incentive schemes and related documentation.
About You
- 2–5 years’ post‑qualification experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident with MS Office and general IT systems.
- Excellent organisation and ability to manage a busy workload.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Strong client‑facing confidence and commercial awareness.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive, adaptable and receptive to change.
