Our client, a leading UK national/international law firm with a growing insurance sector reputation, is seeking to appoint a Partner with deep expertise in cyber-crime and cyber-risk matters from an insurance law perspective.
This strategic hire will play a central role in expanding the firm’s cyber offering and strengthening its national insurance practice.
The department is a well-established, full-service insurance group with a strong national footprint and a sophisticated roster of insurer, broker, and corporate clients. Lead and grow a dedicated cyber-risk capability within a firm that is investing heavily in technology, data, and emerging-risk advisory work. Key Experience Sought
- Significant experience advising insurers, reinsurers, and policyholders on cyber-crime exposures, including ransomware, data breaches, business interruption, and social-engineering fraud.
- Strong track record in cyber-related coverage disputes, policy interpretation, declinatures, and complex multi-party claims.
- Familiarity with drafting and negotiating cyber insurance wordings, endorsements, and blended cyber/tech E&O products.
- Experience guiding clients through incident response, regulatory notifications, and crisis-management processes.
- Ability to advise on cross-border cyber risks and international insurance programmes.
- Demonstrable capability to build and lead a cyber-insurance practice, leveraging existing market relationships.
- A collegiate, team-oriented approach and appetite to contribute to wider practice development.
