Position: Medical Courier (self-employed position) – Small Van Driver.

Hours: Full Time Position. Nine hours per day. Flexible start times, ranging from 05.00 to 08.00 (depending on location).

Salary: Various pay structures available. Whilst training, we will guarantee you the following:

  • £525.00 per week (fuel paid for by the company).
  • £600.00 per week (driver responsible for the cost of fuel).

Potential earnings will rise significantly depending on your work ethic, once trained to ‘ADR’ level. Weekend work will also be available once trained.

Operational Areas: London, the Home Counties and nationally.

Job Summary: We are seeking professional, punctual and presentable personnel to transport patient injected medication for cancer diagnostic treatments (Class 7) to hospitals throughout London, the Home Counties and Nationally.

Duties:

  • Ensuring the safe transportation of time critical patient medication within the desired ‘Injection Time’.
  • To plan your route efficiently in good time, to destination hospital and customer sites, taking into consideration of traffic and weather conditions.
  • To communicate with our ‘Control Team’ in a timely manner to ensure delivery times are met.
  • Providing information of any delays on route.
  • To follow company procedures and regulations in line with the latest CDG (Carriage of Dangerous Goods) Regulations.
  • To conduct and maintain your allocated vehicle on a daily basis to ensure efficient working order.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • Punctuality and reliability are crucial for this role to ensure patient injection times are met.
  • Efficient communication skills are essential to communicate with our ‘Control Team’.
  • Polite manner to interact with hospital personnel.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and parking controls.
  • A ‘CRB’ application will be submitted on successful applicants.

Potential candidates require no previous ‘ADR’ experience as ‘In-House’ training will be initially provided. The training will then progress to full ’ADR’ training level. Appropriate vehicle will be provided, along with the appropriate insurance cover. Any ‘Congestion Charges or ULEZ charges will be paid by the company. You will be required to take your vehicle home on a daily basis, and weekends as we do not have parking facilities at our office in Bow, East London.
