We are looking for people who can help out with our social groups to help organise and assist with activities. Our Ladies and Gents groups each meet once a week at the Ladder centre and participate in activities that encourage social interaction. We are constantly seeking individuals who can offer new opportunities to our groups by demonstrating a skill or craft and helping others to join in. We are particularly interested in anyone who can provide something that promotes health and wellbeing.

Join the well-established group and socialise with members to build rapport and identify opportunities for activities.

Skills & Qualities

You will need to be friendly and outgoing, able to engage and communicate with members. You must be respectful and non-judgmental, as some members may share personal circumstances and seek support. Specialist skills would be beneficial but are not essential.

When & Where?

Ferryhill Ladder centre or on location during trips and activities.
Mondays 10-2 (Men’s group) Wednesdays 10-2 (Ladies group)

Training and Support Offered/Expenses

We will ensure training is available to volunteers to assist them in their role. Any generic training available to staff will also be made available to volunteers.
Pre-agreed expenses will be covered.

Volunteers will gain social experience, work experience, and access to training, events, and trips organised by the Ladder centre.
