To assist the existing coaching team to deliver badminton coaching to children between the ages of 8 and 18 years. Helping to deliver badminton programmes and drills to educate young people in the sport of Badminton. This could involve feeding shuttles, advising on correct positioning on court, racket and movement as part of an already existing coaching team.
Skills & Qualities
- Coaching experience not essential as training will be given, but an interest in the sport would be an advantage.
- The club is looking for a person who will be able to deliver different aspects of the game in a friendly manner.
- The position does require an Enhanced DBS and some safeguarding training which the club can help with.
When & Where?
Freemans Quay Leisure Centre, Freemans Place, Durham City, DH1 1SW. Every Friday Evening from 6pm-9pm. The club does close for the season from the end of July to September each year.
Training and Support Offered / Expenses
- Training alongside the other members of the coaching team.
- The club can also provide a pathway to achieving badminton qualifications as part of the ongoing training.
- If travelling by car the club does offer the weekly cost of your parking charges as an expense.
To work with young people within a safe and secure environment. To improve your interpersonal skills, teamwork, and your own badminton technical skills as well as possibly achieving your own coaching qualifications.
