POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the County Buildings Foreperson, performs daily, monthly and annual inspections, carries out repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance, and responds to facility and building related emergencies at County owned and leased buildings and properties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of post-secondary education along with completion of a relevant trade certification and/or qualification or demonstrated practical experience in the field of building maintenance and repairs.
- Good knowledge of construction practices, best practices with respect to building maintenance and repairs as well as a working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
- Able to work unsupervised.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License is required.
- Employment is conditional upon receipt of a successful Vulnerable Persons Police Clearance.
