To help us keep up with rapid expansion, County Lifting are seeking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer. We are a family run company, specialising in the provision of engineering and lifting solutions. Based in Kettering (near the A14) we offer our services locally and UK wide. Company growth has afforded us the opportunity to expand our talented team. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be working alongside our engineering team to maintain equipment, tooling, lifting gear and more.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Completion of planned, preventative maintenance, inspections, servicing and repairs
- Fabrication of bespoke structures, lifting accessories and other movement aids
- Testing of fabrications to ensure adherence to standard
- Clear and concise completion of maintenance reports
- Clear communication with the Engineering Manager regarding tasks
- Adherence to company procedures and policies
- Maintenance of all tooling, equipment, accessories etc. to a high standard
- Work alongside customers and operators to ensure that all equipment is of a safe standard
- Carry out additional tasks designated by the Engineering Manager
- Management of stock levels and ordering of engineering resources
- Time management and task related reporting
Required experience:
- Industry relevant qualifications
- Experience of mechanical diagnosis, servicing and repair
- Industry knowledge (particularly of cranes and/or HGVs)
- Working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics and engines
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
