Due to company growth, County Lifting are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our talented team. We are a family run company, specialising in the provision of engineering and lifting solutions. Based in Kettering (near the A14) we offer our services locally and UK wide. Company growth has afforded us the opportunity to expand our talented team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you would be integral to the maintenance of day-to-day operations.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Service/repair our diverse fleet of vehicles (HGV, cranes and forklifts)
- Diagnose and repair any operator reported mechanical issues
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
- Inspect tools and equipment regularly to ensure safe use
- Complete reports for servicing/repairs
- Maintain accurate timekeeping records
- Carry out tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Correctly use and maintain PPE at all times
- Carry out additional tasks designated by the Engineering Manager
Required experience:
- Industry relevant qualifications
- Possession of a CSCS card
- Experience in mechanical diagnosis, servicing and repair of a variety of vehicles
- Industry knowledge (particularly of cranes and/or HGVs)
- Working knowledge of electronics, hydraulics and engines
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
