County Carers is a trusted provider of complex care, supporting clients and their families with tailored, compassionate, and professional home-based care. You will be fully supported by our expert management and clinical team, but we are looking for someone with a strong background in complex care who can confidently hit the ground running.
Hours - Monday - Sunday. Ideally two carers to rotate weekend on weekend off. Starting @ 08.30am in Caversham finishing @ £20.00 per hour. Carer to support long day carer for a client with MS assisting with bowel care, personal care and transfers using a hoist. Then travel to Crowthorne: 16 miles, paid @ £0.40 (30 min drive) 12:30pm–2:30pm – Companionship break cover @ £19.00 per hour. Support a client while their live-in carer takes a break, assisting with lunch and offering companionship.
Role Requirements: We are specifically seeking a carer who has experience with complex needs and is fully trained and competent in the following areas:
- Spinal Injury
- Bowel management - intensive bowel management
Essential Criteria:
- Must drive and have own vehicle
- Must be fluent in English – this is a specific request from the client’s family
- Proven experience in a complex care role
- Up-to-date mandatory training and clinical competencies (or willingness to update through us)
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to build trust with the client
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one)
- Self employed or willing to register
