Role Overview
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with flexibility required to cover day and evening shifts, including every other weekend. Shift pattern example:
- Week 1 (Days): 7:00am – 3:00pm (includes weekend working and on-call phone)
- Week 2 (Evenings): 3:00pm – 11:00pm (weekend off)
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the start-up of new care rounds and onboarding new clients
- Participating in the on-call rota every other week (Monday–Sunday – additional pay provided)
- Training, supervising, and supporting care staff (including spot checks and shadowing)
- Acting as standby to cover care calls when required (e.g. sickness)
- Completing care plan and medication reviews
- Daily task reviews to ensure care quality and compliance
- Opportunity to progress within the management team
What We’re Looking For
Essential experience in complex care, including:
- Suction
- Nebuliser use
- PEG
- Stoma care
- Tracheostomy (cuffed and non-cuffed)
- Bowel and bladder management
- Acquired brain injury
- Epilepsy, including rescue medication
- Cough assist
Experience working with both adults and children is desirable but not essential.
