Are you a Complex Carer looking for an opportunity in the Reading area?

Location: Reading

Hours: Flexible with days/nights but hours need to be 8am - 8pm & 8pm - 8am

Pay Rate: £20ph weekdays and £30 per hour weekends

About Us: County Carers is a trusted provider of complex care, supporting clients and their families with tailored, compassionate, and professional home-based care. You will be fully supported by our expert management and clinical team, but we are looking for someone with a strong background in complex care who can confidently hit the ground running.

Role Requirements: We are specifically seeking a carer who has experience with complex needs and is fully trained and competent in the following areas:

  • Spinal Injury
  • Bowel management - intensive bowel management
  • Bladder washout
  • Autonomic dysreflexia (AD)

Essential Criteria:

  • Must be fluent in English – this is a specific request from the client’s family
  • Proven experience in a complex care role
  • Up-to-date mandatory training and clinical competencies (or willingness to update through us)
  • Reliable, compassionate, and able to build trust with the client
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one)
  • Self employed or willing to register

Important Note: We have had applicants who did not have sufficient complex care experience; we are looking to shortlist only highly experienced candidates at this stage. If you are only available a few days a week, this is ok as we are typically looking for a few carers to share the shifts throughout the week.
