About our exciting opportunity

  • Provide new installation of overhead or underground fibre optic cables, customer termination boxes, routers, and other associated equipment required for installation of new customer connections.
  • Complete the internal and external cabling works to get a customer connected to the County Broadband network.
  • Work with the Tech team to rectify issues with customer connections.
  • Complete internal cabling works to a high standard with a conscious effort to meet customer requirements.
  • Survey further works and advise on the requirements/identification for tree cutting, traffic management, UKPN poles, and other associated obstacles to successfully connect a customer.
  • Ensure all information and photos are captured on company-supplied assets such as phones or tablets.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork for daily work on job sheets, risk assessments, plant sheets, and/or van sheets.
  • Completion of risk assessments, hazard identification, and ensuring Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures.
  • Other such reasonable duties within the general scope of the job title.

Your skills and experience

  • SA001 & SA002 Qualified
  • IPAF, NRSWA, S7/S8 PIA Qualified (desirable)
  • At least 1 years’ experience working on a fibre network.
  • Experience gained working in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience of working on Openreach PIA network.
  • Knowledge of fibre installation.
