How you’ll power our business as a Sales & Operations Planning Manager

At Flogas, we’ve been transforming how we serve our customers—improving delivery efficiency, centralising scheduling, and using smarter forecasting to stay one step ahead. Now, we’re looking for a forward-thinking leader to drive the next phase of that journey. As a key player in our Logistics function, you’ll take ownership of our S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process across both our bulk and cylinder businesses. Working closely with operational and logistics teams, you’ll develop robust short, medium, and long-term forecasts using datasets from Optitool, including Opti4cast, to give the business the insights it needs to plan, serve, and grow efficiently. You’ll also act as the business owner for our key logistics systems, Touchstar and Optitool, working alongside IT to ensure they’re fully optimised to support the needs of our customers and the wider business. What We’ll Need From You

  • People management Skills.
  • Organisation and Attention to Detail.
  • IT Systems Knowledge
  • Highly proficient in Excel (Required) and Access (Preferred)
  • Project Management Experience
  • Experience of analysing large complex data sets and using them to improve business performance
  • Understanding of the Cylinder and Bulk businesses
  • Communication / Presentation.
  • Commercial and Business Acumen,
  • Strong attention to detail. Right first time – all of the time

Essential Technical Know-how

  • Forecasting, ability to use data and systems to analyse and produce a robust forecast.
  • Demand Planning, translating forecasts into a usable plan.
  • Supply Planning, analysing resources required to match the demand plan.
  • Data analysis, able to interpret data, identify trends using tools such as Excel, Power BI and ERP/Planning systems.
  • Negotiation, able to negotiate with all stakeholders to agree on an S&OP plan.
  • Problem Solving, able to find solutions when the demand and supply planning does not match or meet the required forecast.
  • Strategic Planning has an ability to understand how the S&OP process supports the overall business strategy.
