Countrystyle Recycling are proud to operate the largest independent fleet of modern waste management vehicles in Kent, London and the South East. Our fleet vehicles include dustcarts, skip trucks, hook loaders and bulk haulage lorries.
About the role:
To provide assistance in ensuring the compliant operation of all vehicle fleets and drivers. In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of road transport compliance policies, standards and procedures.
- To oversee day-to-day use of Assetminder to record compliant operations, costings and reporting.
- To audit all aspects of fleet compliance ensuring service schedules & MOTs are updated and that Fleet are making vehicles available as planned/required.
- To identify any failures in the above, reporting these to your manager.
- Communicate with your Manager, Fleets and Drivers concerning any changes to legislation or Company procedures relating to road transport operations.
- Liaise with all Fleets and coordinate the investigation of all road transport accidents.
- Review and maintain a fleet list of all vehicles to meet statutory information and insurance data requirements in consultation with your manager.
- To review and advise on further training development requirements for drivers to assist with their roles.
- To audit fleet daily processes, ensuring all drivers are completing two daily walkrounds & defects are being raised efficiently.
- To review fleet damage costs in relation to accidents and incidents; and ensure these are being correctly reported by drivers to fleet management.
- To audit fleet infringements on Tachomaster to ensure fleets debrief drivers and issue corrective action.
- To manage driver licences through Checkmaster.
- Ensure that DVS safety permits for London are obtained and maintained, manage Transport for London, Dartcharge and any necessary transport related accounts relevant to the Fleet.
- Ensure all vehicles have a current Road Fund Licence and are updated on the company Operator Licence where necessary.
- To monitor and identify any H&S issues, attempting resolution or escalating to Line Manager or H&S team.
- Have a duty to take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
- Co-operate, report unsafe conditions and comply with the company management systems and safe systems of work.

- Competent in IT particularly Excel
- Good communication both verbal & written

- GCSE Level A-C
- Transport Managers CPC
