Hours: Day Shifts – 6:30am 5pm with Saturdays from 06:00 12:00 on a rota basis
About Us:
Countrystyle is a family-owned resource management and waste recycling business. We are proud to operate the largest independent fleet of modern waste management vehicles in Kent, London and the Southeast. We are looking for a HGV Technician to join our Workshop team at our workshop in Ridham, Sittingbourne.
About the role:
To maintain high standards of workmanship and competence in performing tasks associated with preventative maintenance checks and general maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections, diagnosing any faults and defects on fleet vehicles, trailers, related equipment and components. This includes testing, dismantling, overhauling, repairing, and re-assembling as required.
- Undertaking preventative maintenance checks, services and general maintenance/repairs of fleet vehicles, trailers, related equipment and components.
- Perform road tests.
- Perform emergency call out repairs as required.
- Competently operate electronic testing equipment and other hand tools.
- Maintain repair and service records on each vehicle using tablets.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner, as required, and in line with Countrystyles policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all work completed is carried in line with the safe systems of work and that appropriate PPE and safety equipment is used at all times.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures.
