Due to increasing activities and expanding work programme in our Fenwick office, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for Forestry. We are looking for someone who will complement our dynamic team and be able to contribute using their relevant skills and experience.
Responsibilities
- Deliver forest plans
- Support management and harvesting teams
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders
- Prepare and manage budgets
- Oversee site planning and contractor oversight
- Identify, analyse and solve problems
- Manage safety and operational standards
- Support the implementation of alternative silvicultural systems
Qualifications
- Demonstrable forestry experience and relevant academic qualifications
- Experience in forest and woodland management, woodland creation, estate management, and site safety management is desired
- Good working knowledge of the UK forest industry
- Sound understanding of site planning and sector economics
- Commercial awareness
- Experience with contractor management is required
- Membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or progression towards chartered status is encouraged, with support for further professional development
- A full, valid driving licence is mandatory
