We are seeking an experienced and motivated Arboriculturist to support tree work operations, seed collection, propagation, and tree establishment while supervising teams to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will source, collect, process, and store high-quality tree seed, maintaining accurate records to ensure full traceability and compliance with FRM regulations.
  • Overseeing propagation through seeds, cuttings, and grafting, prepare growing media, support successful tree establishment, identify tree species, pests, diseases, and decay fungi, and carry out pruning in line with industry best practice.
  • You will also help promote the environmental, social, and biodiversity benefits of trees through your work and when representing the company.
  • You will supervise operational teams, organise daily workloads, complete risk assessments, ensure the safe use of tools, machinery, ladders, and MEWPs, maintain equipment and accurate operational records, and support the training and development of team members.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and practical arboriculture skills are essential.

This is a physically demanding role involving regular travel, outdoor working in all weather conditions, manual handling, and working at height.
