About Us
Eryri National Park Authority protects the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 square miles, the Park is home to the highest mountain in Wales, the largest natural lake in Wales, and over 26,000 people. We are now looking for a Sustainable Tourism Officer to join us on a part-time basis, working three days per week, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Welsh language skills are essential for this role. Please read the job description for the exact level required.

The Role
As a Sustainable Tourism Officer, you will support sustainable tourism efforts across the National Park. You will focus on helping to develop and implement long-term policies, projects and activities that support tourism whilst reducing the negative impact of it. You will create plans and solutions to tourism challenges, with particular emphasis on transport and travel, while also supporting brand marketing efforts that will drive responsible tourism and the special qualities of our National Park.
About You
To be considered as a Sustainable Tourism Officer, you will need:
- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- Proven experience of working in partnership and developing and maintaining strong working relationships
- Experience of developing and implementing marketing, brand or campaign messages
- Experience of carrying out research, including gathering, analysing and reporting on data
- Experience of managing and delivering projects effectively and efficiently
- Knowledge and understanding of sustainable tourism
- Computer literacy and confidence in the use of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel
- A degree-level qualification in a tourism-related or relevant subject, a certified qualification in tourism management, or significant experience directly related to the duties of the post
- A valid driving licence
