Following the successful appointment of two new trustees, we’re pleased to open recruitment to two dedicated member seats on our Board, open exclusively to Climate Coalition member organisations, as follows: Member Climate Trustee; Member International Development Trustee.

As a member trustee, you’ll help steward the UK’s largest climate and nature coalition at a critical moment – supporting and constructively challenging the Board and Executive Director, while thinking beyond organisational interests to the health and impact of the movement as a whole. We’re keen to hear from people who: are part of a Climate Coalition member organisation; care deeply about coalition working and collective leadership; can bring insight from climate action or international development / global justice contexts; may be new to trusteeship as well as those with previous Board experience.

Volunteer Content Creator - West Midlands BE4: IV: -- LOC: West Midlands PAY: Training and mentoring support, flexible, mostly remote working, laptop and expenses provided. FOR: RSPB. We are looking for a creative Content Creator to help produce engaging marketing and promotional materials for our nature reserves and off-reserve projects across the West Midlands, including Staffordshire, Birmingham, and the Black Country.

The role involves filming volunteer activities, nature trails, play trails, and events, then editing footage into short social media videos and longer impact films showcasing our projects and volunteers. This flexible role is mostly remote, with occasional filming days at sites such as Coombes Valley, Consall Woods, Staffordshire Moorlands, Middleton Lakes, and Sandwell Valley. Travel expenses are covered.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Europe’s largest conservation charity, build a strong portfolio, access RSPB training, receive line management support, and join a friendly, supportive team. A laptop can be provided. We’re looking for someone with content creation or video editing experience (paid or unpaid), creativity, and teamwork skills. A commitment of 3-5 days per week for up to 6 months is ideal, but flexibility is available. Driving licence desirable, not essential.

Volunteers can choose to help with: Gardening in our garden and polytunnel, Bee-keeping, Cooking cover when we’re short-handed, Marmalade and jam making, One-off jobs like envelope stuffing, sewing, clearing, log splitting etc., Building, log chopping, tree clearing, Video and drone photography.

Volunteer Researcher BE4: Ongoing IV: -- LOC: Remote (UK) PAY: Reference, online training, work 1:1 with Founding Director. FOR: Instinctively Wild CIC. We always need support from people to help us develop new project ideas, find out about grants/funding, find out about opportunities, attend networking events.

Ideally you will be skilled or interested in learning about one of the following areas: Project development, Public sector procurement, Corporate team-building, Social media, Website development & maintenance, SEO, Governance, policy update, Business Planning, Grants and funding, Training course development, Networking/marketing, Accounts and financial planning, Volunteer development.

What you’ll gain: 1:1 support and guidance - you would be working directly with Pete Carthy. Gain first-hand experience of how a social enterprise works. A Reference for future employment. Events Assistant Volunteer BE4: Ongoing IV: -- LOC: Berks, Bucks and Oxon PAY: Help BBOWT to share conservation advice and skills, participate in community events and celebrations, and learn new skills through attending talks and events. FOR: Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT). BBOWT works in the community to inspire people everywhere and empower them to take action for nature.

Our teams organise events and respond to requests to participate in other organisations’ events, such as local fetes, evening talks, guided walks etc. As an Event Assistant Volunteer, you will support the member of staff who is delivering the event. You would be involved in a wide variety of work for example: chatting with participants about wildlife, car park attendant, making wildflower seed “bombs” with members of the public, helping to set up a talk, plus many other vital tasks involved in event delivery.

No experience or qualifications needed other than an enthusiasm for sharing our mission and a willingness to learn more about wildlife. This is a very social role, so an interest in working with people is required. Dates/times are varied and sporadic, so we would contact you to request your help when an event is planned in your area.
